Chosen space, barbican wash rooms. going to be fun making this a better place, when i went to take these photographs i nearly got a thump by a man and his washing. He did not like the idea of being in a photograph where he was ramming a drum with his particulars...
woops they are upside down and all sorts enjoy looking at them, maybe you will see them differently like this ? Makes them more exciting anyhow!

Went to Barbican today to find a little laundrette that there is there. I found it and got some nice photographs of which will be my first step towards my new project. Seems a nice place to set up base for a few weeks, and it's close but i did nearly get into a fight with a man and his washing, he did not like the idea of having his photograph taken when he was loading his washer bless him...
Anyway these were taken in that area really nice textured concrete buildings scatter through the barbican area. It's an aged area which makes it feel like your in a different city. I like this when you find somewhere in London which feels like it's somewhere else...when this does happen i always then think to myself this is London and there is so much ground to explore and find new and exciting things to photographs and watch and do! I like to go exploring for sure.
Really surprised with this film i used fujifilm superia X-tra 400 i thought it would be a bit rubbish but it's fairly good. It has recorded the light and colours really well !

I HAVE GOT TOGETHER A SKETCHBOOK FOR MY FIRST PROJECT. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT TYPE AND ILLUSTRATION LOTS IN THIS ONE. WANTED TO CHANCE MY FIRST IDEA AND TAKE IT LESS SERIOUS (COOL) GIVE IT A LESS SERIOUS FEEL TO IT. LOTS OF COLOUR AND MEANINGFUL SUGGESTIONS THAN INSTRUCTIONS. PEOPLE LIKE STORIES WHATEVER THE AGE, AND I THINK IT'S A NICE WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH AN AUDIENCE. SO I HAVE COLLECTED MY INSPIRATIONS AND STUCK THEM IN A BOOK PRODUCING A PDF DOCUMENT TO SIT ALONG SIDE IT ASWELL...

This typeface is brilliant. Heavily used in Wes Anderson films been looking at it today and going to try and get my hands on all forms of it off the internet. But it's a typeface i will be exploring for the next few months i can sense that, it excites me.
